PRICE stands for "PeFSSED Rural Institute for Computer Education". PRICE is a PeFSSED initiative to make village youth computer-educated.
The first PRICE centre started at Marthapur, Dhenkanal, Odisha in the month of June, 2008. Three more centres are in pipeline to be instituted in the month of Sep-Oct, 2008 at (i) Eranch, Niali block, Cuttack, Orissa; (ii) Sujanpur, Jajpur, Orissa; and (iii) Mulising, Soro, Balasore, Orissa.
It may seem highly ambitious, but we aspire in the long run to have one PRICE centre in each of two lakh thirty three thousand eight hundred and eighty six gram panchayats of this country.
